A chef at a popular Romford restaurant was left bleeding when a couple of nightmare customers kicked off over their bill. The terrible twosome got in a dispute at Raphael’s by CREM Kitchen on Main Road on Friday November 4 around 3:45pm. The restaurant alleges the two women refused to pay then assaulted a staff member in front of diners.
In a Facebook post, a Raphael’s spokesperson said: “Please beware of these women… They refused to pay and started attacking the staff and scratched them bad with their nails. They were very violent and abusive. Full CCTV footage from multiple cameras – with audio – has been made available to police.”
They also thanked guests and witnesses who volunteered to assist in the police investigation. MyLondon understands the owners do not plan on pressing charges, but police may issue a verbal warning to the alleged offenders.

Photos of the alleged attack seen by MyLondon show two young blonde women dressed in black, one pushing a buggy. The images appear to show them shouting. Another snap shared by the restaurant shows blood spots on a chef’s white collar, allegedly from where he was scratched by the woman’s nails.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 15:45hrs on Friday, 4 November following reports of a man assaulted at a restaurant in Main Road, Gidea Park following a dispute with two women.
“The man was not seriously injured and did not require medical treatment. Officers attended but the women had left the scene prior to their arrival. No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
