Nicki Minaj shares HotNewHipHop story about her
Nicki took to her Twitter on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, and shared a snippet from the story.
It read: “Yet, what’s most astonishing and powerful about Nicki’s impact on Hip-Hop is her presence and, sometimes, the lack thereof.
“Whether she’s going on an unexpected freestyle or guest-feature run, giving a rare interview, or speaking her mind in a wild Twitter rant, Nicki Minaj’s presence — be it aural, digital, or visual — is absolutely enthralling, and when she’s on hiatus, you can tell.”
Another line goes on to say: ” Despite the welcomed contributions of women like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, City Girls, and Doja Cat over the past few years, female rap still feels incomplete without Nicki Minaj’s presence.”
The 39-year-old Trinidadian rapper struck out Cardi B, Megan, City Girls and Doja Cat’s names from the above line in the post she shared on Twitter.
She tagged the media outlet and captioned the post with a joining hands emoji, which is a gesture of thanks and gratitude.

Fans react to Nicki striking out Cardi B’s name
Nicki’s move sent fans into a tizzy. Many rushed online to read the original article to find out whose names the rapper had struck out.
“They gon be maddd,” a fan wrote while sharing the original paragraph from the story.
Criticising the musician’s move, another Twitter user wrote: “The only one mad is @NICKIMINAJ herself, We are all laughing that she ain’t embarrassed not even one bit, She is letting everyone know how pressed she is.”
One of Nicki’s Barbz defended her by saying: “How are y’all mad at her scribbling names… not even her screenshot either. If those names were there, yall would STILL feel some type of way and get mad. The article is about Nicki, not them.”
Cardi and other female rappers are yet to respond
Cardi, Megan, Doja Cat and City Girls are all yet to respond to Nicki’s latest move.
However, considering Cardi’s long-running feud with Nicki, if she does respond to the Anaconda rapper’s tweet, it might reignite their drama again in 2022.
