Sparked by the hit “Super Gremlin,” Kodak Black’s resurgence sees the rapper debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart (dated March 12) with his third chart-topper, Back for Everything. The album, released on Feb. 25 via Atlantic Records, starts with 60,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending March 3, according to MRC Data.
As with most hip-hop releases, streaming provides the heavy majority of the album’s first-week impact. 57,000 of the 60,000 units derive from streaming (equaling 84 million on-demand official streams of the set’s tracks), 3,000 units come through album sales, and the remaining units are a negligible sum from track-equivalent albums. (One unit equals the following levels of consumption: one album sale, 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams for a song on the album.)
Everything secures the 24-year-old rapper’s third No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums among his eight charted entries. He previously topped the list with the one-week champs Project Baby Two in 2017 and Dying to Live the following year.
Elsewhere, Everything likewise kicks off at No. 1 on Top Rap Albums and at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200.

The new album includes the runaway hit “Super Gremlin,” which first arrived on a Sniper Gang imprint collective album in October. “Gremlin” logs its seventh week at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (and rises 5-4 on the Billboard Hot 100) thanks to simultaneous strong results in streaming and airplay. In the former arena, “Gremlin” ranked as the second-most-streamed song in the U.S., with 22.4 million U.S. streams in the last tracking week, ending March 3. It also pushes 3-1 to lead the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay list for the first time, and in doing so, evicts the long-standing champ “Essence,” from Wizkid featuring Tems, which ends a 27-week stretch in charge.
In addition to the huge hit, Everything also four new tracks onto Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs: “Usain Boo” (No. 28), “I Wish” (No. 33), “Let Me Know” (No. 44) and “On Everything” (No. 46). One other track, “Love & War,” returns to the list at No. 48 to match its previous best showing, achieved through its January debut.
Activity surrounding Everything and its songs thrusts Kodak Black to No. 1 for the first time in his career on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, which ranks artist popularity through a blend of four music consumption metrics – album sales, track sales, radio airplay and streaming. The rapper rockets from No. 29 to surpass his previous peak of No. 6 from April 2017 when his album Painting Pictures, which featured the hit song “Tunnel Vision,” made its chart entrance.
