Kanye West reportedly went off the rails during a deposition for his lawsuit with tech company MyChannel, who is suing the iconic rapper for an alleged violation of contract. The 44-year-old is now facing possible sanctions for his widely inappropriate behavior during the meeting.

MyChannel sued West last August, with the company’s lawyers, Ben Meiselas and Michael Popok, claiming the “Power” rapper took advantage of the company to advance his Yeezy brand and stole their confidential technology. According to MyChannel, they began their partnership with West in September 2018 for his Yeezy brand and Sunday Service.
They are seeking $20 million in damages.

West apparently had the company — which “says it’s a black-owned business specializing in video and e-commerce technology,” per TMZ — work around the clock and offered them a series of business promises, which included a future $10 million investment.

However, after six months, it became clear to MyChannel that West allegedly had no intention of following through with his promises. And before he cut ties with the tech company, West stole their technology for the launch of his Sunday Service, according to the lawsuit.

Earlier this week, West made jaws drop during the court-ordered deposition, which included him reportedly bashing the plaintiff’s lawyer and putting on a Jesus Christ mask. While MyChannel lawyers tried tirelessly to get the father-of-four into the courtroom for an in-person deposition, the judge ruled on a virtual deposition due to risks still associated with COVID-19.
The tech company’s lawyers have since filed an emergency motion to get the “Stronger” rapper in the court room after he was said to viciously attack Popok.

According to the court documents, obtained by All HipHop, West stormed out of the virtual meeting after only 10 minutes.
However, those few minutes in the Zoom room were apparently full of insults and absurd commentary directed at MyChannel’s lawyer. Kim Kardashian‘s estranged husband reportedly called the lawyer, who is white, “boy” at least 12 times. Ye also refused to look at Popok, wouldn’t stop playing on his phone and referred to his own “mental genius-ness” while asking Popok if he was “f**king stupid,” according to the outlet.

In addition, West reportedly refused to answer any questions. When West finally decided to address Popok, the former U.S. presidential candidate told him that he should feel honored to be deposing the “richest Black man in America and a Black [Donald] Trump supporter and that he couldn’t be bothered with the deposition because he had lives (and diets) to change,” according to the documents.
The deposition really escalated when the 21-time Grammy winner put on “full-face hood and head covering adorned with Jesus Christ’s image which obscured his face and muffled his voice,” per the legal docs.

Despite MyChannel lawyers’ objection, West reportedly refused to remove the mask, claiming they did not have the right to see his face. The “Heartless” crooner also apparently bragged about how well he was doing at obstructing the deposition.

West’s lawyers reportedly didn’t do anything about their client’s behavior. One of West’s lawyers actually appeared to applaud him, according to the legal documents, saying: “That was some crazy sh*t.”
The plaintiff’s lawyers were less than impressed with West, noting: “West’s bad faith efforts to sabotage the deposition will be viewed by the Court as one of the most outrageous and inappropriate deposition performances it has observed as well.” MyChannel’s lawyers are now seeking sanctions against the American Music Awards winner in the amount of $63,000, per the outlet.
His recent legal troubles come amid his split from the KUWTK star, who filed for divorce from West in February following their near seven years of marriage.
