But the real stars of this series are the people that connect the stars to the streets. Gang ties, violence, influence, it’s all here and it’s absolutely fascinating. Of course, it’d be impossible to tell the story of hip hop as a genre without also detailing the influence of drugs and socioeconomic struggles all across the country. The storytelling of Hip Hop Uncovered is unique, thrilling, and captivating and is not to be missed by any music fan.
