Seattle-based funeral doom band with one of many shortest names in all of steel, Un, apparently broke up in March and simply acquired round to saying it a couple of days in the past. Frontman Monte Mccleery made the announcement in regards to the band’s breakup on his private Instagram web page with the next assertion:
“Hello. In March I made the extraordinarily troublesome choice to half methods with my bandmates in Un – successfully ending the band. I wasn’t certain I’d make a publish like this, however for the sake of closure for all who have been concerned, I feel it’s vital.
“I’m certain some people may have some questions, however all I’ll say right here is that it was my choice alone, however I didn’t make it with any malice or ill-intent. Their contributions to the success of the band during the last 10+ years can by no means be understated and I’ll cherish this era of my life without end. It was simply time.
“For many who don’t already know, you may proceed supporting Clayton and Alex of their present band @reburied_death. I’m certain David will ultimately have a brand new venture as effectively.
“As for me, I’ll start rehearsals with a brand new band subsequent week, and I’ll share particulars about that as quickly as is acceptable!”
Un retires with two full-length albums below their belt, 2015’s The Tomb of All Issues and 2018’s Sentiment, plus a 2019 cut up with Coltsblood.
