Charlamagne Tha God spoke on a recent Breakfast Club episode of rappers who say “R.I.P.” after the murders of their contemporaries, but continue to promote the lifestyle that contributed to their demise.
Rapper Tee Grizzley, who released a song titled “Robbery Part 4” and was the victim of a home invasion a few days later was the subject of conversation on the episode. In response to the home invasion, Grizzley said, “We gotta watch what we speakin’ into existence man. I know it seems like we just makin’ music and it’s art but these words are powerful bro. Just like we can speak good shit into existence, we can speak bad shit into existence.”
Charlamagne replied that it was sad that those words are even necessary.
