The 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday night gathered some of the best and freshest rappers for four cyphers — but which one beats out the rest?
Brandy, Erykah Badu, H.E.R. and Teyana Taylor made up the First Lady Cypher, rapping about Black womanhood and honoring Breonna Taylor over Brandy’s 1994 smash “I Wanna Be Down.”
The Hot New Crew consisting of Ade’, Buddy, Flo Milli and Deante Hitchcock honored Pop Smoke, who posthumously won best new hip-hop artist and received a tribute performance by Quavo at the awards show, by rapping about his legacy over his first solo Billboard Hot 100 hit “Dior.”
