BENTON HARBOR — A new year of public art events begins Friday when the Benton Harbor Arts Association welcomes everyone to explore a night of diverse creativity.
The first of four Art Hops will give visitors a chance to explore the city’s arts district, featuring artists in their studios as well as visiting artists, according to Tammi Phillippe, BHAA president.
Eli Zilke, a glassblowing instructor, works on a decorative beer glass at Water Street Glassworks for its annual spring fundraiser: Hot Glass & Cold Beer. Water Street Glassworks will be among the downtown Benton Harbor locations participating in Art Hop on Friday night.
The Charlie Millard Band performs at the Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids. The band will make its return to The Livery on Friday night.
