Not only has Fant worked with industry giants, but she also paved her legacy by launching the Purple Agency in 2008. The public relations and marketing firm has tapped Swizz Beatz, Daniel Caesar, and Luis Fonsi as well as Coca-Cola, BET, HBO, Hennessy, Red Bull, and more.
In addition, Phylicia Fant has integrated activism into her work alongside artists. For example, she collaborated on the Bail Project for Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby” music video, which raised funds to end cash bails.
“Music is not a monolith, so we must truly foster allyship across the spectrum in order to yield the best results,” Fant said, according to Variety.
As she rightfully deserves, Fant’s contributions have also been awarded over the years. She received the NAASC NY chapter “Rising Star Award” and was named as the “Sister’s Awards Alumnae Honoree” at the Los Angeles NAASC chapter. Plus, she received the HBCU Power Award and was also listed as a 2021 Empowered Women campaign honoree.
